<pchaigno> How can I get a commit id formatted as a reference to a Linux release (ex. v5.2-rc1~47^2~47), to use in Changelogs?
<pchaigno> Or is it okay to use commit ids directly in Changelogs?
<ldv> I use git describe --contains
<pchaigno> ldv: nice! I've just learnt a new git command :)
<pchaigno> I'm updating the V4L2_PIX_* constants to fix the build on master (for KHEADERS=torvalds/linux) I've found a number of other constants dating from several years ago that haven't been added to the .in file, should I add them?
<pchaigno> What about lines that only have a small space/indentation change? Should I update them as well? (I'm using the command from the top of the v4l2_pix_fmts.in file)
<ldv> it depends
<ldv> pchaigno: see also branch esyr/fixes
